Bluepoint® is a Remote Dispensing System that provides consumer’s access to a community pharmacist via a dedicated Bluepoint® Pharmacist Dispensing Terminal. The system is pharmacist controlled and operated from an approved dispensary by qualified and trained personnel.
The Bluepoint® Pharmacist Dispensing Terminal (PDT) enables consumers to contact and consult with a pharmacist when the pharmacist is present and available in the dispensary. Under verbal and visual instruction from the pharmacist they can present prescriptions and obtain dispensed medicines and counselling via the Bluepoint® Terminal located in their local community. It is a highly cost effective method for pharmacists to provide local access to pharmacy services and medicines and for consumers to have safe, professionally managed and convenient access to medicines.
The Bluepoint® system comprises several key elements;
a registered pharmacist operating from a dispensary equipped for Bluepoint®,
a Bluepoint® Terminal located in a secure controlled location,
connection via the Bluepoint® private network and Bluepoint® Central Management Host Server.
